Simply called 'The Tower'(they ran out of names I think), this building is adjacent to the Twin Towers, Dubai. I think it has a very refined look keeping aside it's pretentious decorations. This shot was taken from The Twin Towers itself which I had visited a day back. What do you guys think?
the composition of this has a really nice balance has a nice and even feeling to it and that sort line across the picture really leads your eye along and up those sort of reddy tones work well with it too...

Ah. See. Now this shot I quite like. I wish the right hand side of the shot was again straightened to match the edge of the photograph.. that could be remedied quickly in ps.
But I feel as though the rest of the shot is perfectly composed. The way you've used the big square thing in the middle to lead the eye towards the tower in the back works really well.
I also really love the tones you've brought out in this shot. Sepia has never worked for me, but it looks really good here. You've done very well. I like this shot a lot!

Ah. But you see, it's really not as hard as it may seem. It's only about avoiding the common mistakes that all photographers make when they first start out. You're weeeell on your way dude.
My main suggestions would just be to straighten your shots, and to add borders. Just those two elements alone will make all your shots outstanding.
Hope that helps. If you need help on "how to", lemme know. I'm more than willing to help out.

Only coz I felt bad for leaving such a good shot without one.
